My name is Grace Wilkie and I was born and raised in Malaysia.  I came to Canada in 2008 with my two daughters. I learned how wonderful this preschool was when I was a parent in 2010.  I was so impressed how the children reacted to such an inviting, loving atmosphere and how they interacted with each other and their teachers.  I enjoyed watching my child grow and develop as she explored her surroundings in the classroom and at the playground.
After obtaining my Early Childhood Education, I am thrilled to have the privilege to be part of the team at Little Owls Preschool working with both the amazing teachers and wonderful parents. Growing up in Malaysia, I am  fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Bahasa.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, knitting, yarn shopping, and browsing for new knitting patterns

Our Teachers

Grace Wilkie

My name is Rebecca Woodhouse but everyone calls me Becky. I emigrated to Vancouver from Upper Slaughter a small village in England in 1997 together with my 2 young children and my husband. Before emigrating I ran a small preschool in the village where I lived.
In 2003, I graduated from Vancouver Community Collage with my ECE licence and have been at Kerrisdale Little Owls Preschool for almost 20 years now.
I absolutely love my role as a teacher and the people I work with; together, we have created a safe and happy environment where children can grow and flourish. I strongly believe that young children learn more through play than any other teaching experience. Play helps children engage with others, solve problems, communicate, share/ take turns and helps to build meaningful relationships which are often long lasting.
When I'm not working, I love to spend spend time with my family and friends enjoying home cooked food, decorating and taking care of my two guinea pigs

Assistant Teachers

In addition to our two head teachers, Grace and Becky, Little Owls is also fortunate to have an Assistant teacher, as well as student teachers filling practicum hours. This means more teachers per child at our facility.
